Robert Chase Heishman and Brendan Meara: Long Fuse

Long Fuse is a feature length film that is simultaneously focused upon the very earth beneath our feet and THIS MOMENT IN TIME.

Robert Chase Heishman (b. 1984) received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2008, where he double-majored in Photography and Art History and is currently an MFA candidate in Northwestern University's Art Theory and Practice department. His suite-based practice is predicated on exploring that which is peripheral, and results in work that addresses the photographic, phenomenological, and often the absurd. He has created an original décor (set design) for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company'sSplit-Sides (2003) and contributed artwork for Sigur Rós' album BA BA TI KI DI DO. He has held residency at the Charlotte Street Foundation of Kansas City, and is in the collection of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Walker Art Center.

Brendan Meara received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2004 and is an MFA candidate at the University of Illinois Chicago.  Recent solo and two person exhibitions include University of the Americas (Puebla, Mexico), Review Studios (Kansas City, MO), Roots and Culture (Chicago, IL), along with a forthcoming 'Artist Edition 10" LP' on Positive Beat Recordings (Chicago, IL).
